Distillation to essence. This is the way of our lives.

Life works on us, sometimes gently, sometimes intensely, to burn away dross, to reveal the true and unadulterated core of who we are. This may take a lifetime, perhaps many lifetimes.

Studio Alembic is a place in both the real world of physical materiality and the real world of imagination. It is a place where things happen in ordinary and non-ordinary ways, where play and serious endeavor mingle, where the goalless goal is to BE in whatever ways encourage the nourishment and evolution of soul and spirit.

Studio Alembic is a sandbox, an art studio, a poet’s corner, a classroom, a painter’s nest, a porch swing, a port in a storm, a refuge from the tyranny of the inner critic, a way into the trackless wilderness of the soul.
